Presenting Earthseed With Lily Kwong

In a redwood park in the middle of downtown SF—right next to the Transamerica Pyramid—Lily Kwong's “EarthSeed Dome” is a living, site-responsive structure.

The dome is constructed from 3D-printed, seed-infused soil blocks, fabricated using robotic arm technology.

By installing live plants and moss, we help initiate the next phase—transforming the structure into a living system that will shift and grow over time.

As spring and summer unfold, embedded seeds will bloom and disperse, extending the sculpture’s impact beyond the park.

The sculpture is on view through July 2026.
