Introducing our first living walls in New York

After years in development, the first phase of our work at 60 Wall Street is officially installed: two new living walls within the building’s newly reimagined public lobby.

These walls are part of a much larger biophilic vision for the 47-story Manhattan tower. Still to come: a 100-foot-tall feature wall that will become the largest indoor living wall in North America, along with eight suspended living “stalactites” designed to bring greenery into the full height of the atrium.

For the plant palette, David Brenner drew inspiration from the vivid patterning of rainbow eucalyptus bark and the warm, radiant color of Manhattanhenge. In a nod to the site itself, the full palette includes 60 different plant species for 60 Wall Street.

As the remaining elements take shape, the space will continue to transform into a layered, living environment designed to calm, energize, and draw visitors upward toward the atrium’s monumental skylight.
