Closed for renovations since 2020, the Virginia Haldan Tropical House at UC Botanical Garden reopened in September. The space—re-envisioned by renowned landscape architect Ron Lutsko—features 250 tropical plants, a larger pond, and a two-sided living wall. This installation was a unique chance for us to use tropical plants that wouldn’t thrive on our other walls. Many of the species on the wall were donated from UC Botanical Garden!
