The living wall in West Coast University’s newest campus in Richardson, TX is approximately 33.8 feet tall by 13.6 feet wide and stretches from the lobby floor to the ceiling three stories above with WCU signage. Using 4 different species of plants, we designed this wall not only for its aesthetic contribution to the new campus, but also to serve the functional role of reducing stress and mental fatigue—as we like to point out, plants have been shown to improve concentration, memory, and productivity. Incorporating these biophilic design features into the campus helps ensure the health, happiness, and success of the nursing students that study here.
