At Mission Rock’s Verde building, we collaborated with Studio Gang to activate the entry with a pair of living walls inspired by the geologic striations of the Marin Headlands. Layered bands of planting echo the uplifted rock formations, visually tying the two walls together.
The palette includes geranium, ceanothus, molinbeckia, heuchera, and carex, with seasonal pops of clarkia wildflowers woven throughout for an ephemeral, shifting quality. Brighter greens help the installation stand out against the building façade while reinforcing Verde’s identity.
