Artist Statement

Designed as a contemporary homage to a traditional conservatory, this living wall brings a sense of calm and refinement to the space. The planting palette draws inspiration from classic Victorian conservatories, with staghorn ferns used as sculptural highlights. A restrained mosaic of just a few plant species shifts subtly from light to dark greens, creating natural patterning that reads cohesively from a distance. The result is a layered, calming installation that adds richness and texture without overwhelming the architecture.
